On Monday, April 13th, Officials of the Rapid Response Squad, Lagos state police order saved a 12-year-old kid from being mobbed after he was erroneously accused of being a spy for a group of individuals who assault the environs.
As stated by the Rapid Response Squad, inhabitants of Iju in Lagos state accosted the boy who was seen around in the territory and blamed him for filling in as a covert agent for the Awawa, a religious bunch of young men known to terrorize the region since the lockdown started.
RRS said before they could lynch the kid, a night watch group got to the scene and prevented the mob action . He was questioned and he stated that he was on the road because he fled his home after a conflict with his mom.
