Exclusive interview with Victor Olaniyi, the face of IOI, October edition.

Good evening, welcome to this interview, may we know you?

Interviewee: My name is Olaniyi Victor Feranmi. I was born on May 14th, 2003. I am a native of Ondo state, a student of Obafemi Awolowo University from the faculty of technology studying electrical/electronics engineering. I am a part 1 student.

Great!
How would you describe life as an Obafemi Awolowo University undergraduate studying Electrical/electronics engineering?

Interviewee: Life as an Obafemi Awolowo University undergraduate studying electrical/electronics engineering is very hectic. One must be up and doing, moving from hostel room to lecture room and on getting to the lecture room, it will be very crowded, before one could get a seat to sit down at the front is very difficult and also if one is unable to find a seat, one will have to stand or sit down on the floor. To succeed in OAU, one must be hardworking because the school itself teaches it’s students how to face reality.

How would you describe your stay so far during this pandemic?

Interviewee: My stay so far during this pandemic is very good. Ondo state is not an epidemic center in terms of Coronavirus and the situation is well managed by the state government and everyone adheres to their rules and regulations which are social distancing, washing of hands, using face masks, and also avoiding crowded areas.

Apart from the effectiveness of the Ondo state government and it’s pandemic containment, you said the pandemic has been very good. What makes it so?

Interviewee: The pandemic has been really good because it makes me self reliant and I learnt some trade related to my course and i am still doing a home lesson for SS students at home and it also kept me busy and also making money.

Good!
Following the uncertainties surrounding resumption, on the range of 1-10, how bad do you want to resume and why?

Interviewee: The range is 8. Some state universities are about to resume next week and it’s going to follow federal Universities because everyone is eager to go to school and nobody wishes to waste one academic session and i’m sure that the school will soon resume.

Very well.
With your eagerness, What is the first thing you intend to do when school resumes?

Interviewee: I will have to read my books and also face my studies for exams and also attend tutorials.

Due to the lockdown, do you think, you’d still have the zeal to catch up with the struggles that OAU has to give?

Interviewee: Yes, I believe in my self that I will catch up.

Great
What do you miss the most about campus?

Interviewee: I miss reading at night at Awolowo Cafe and white house.

Do you have a favorite spot on campus: where and why?

Interviewee: I like to stay at White House because of how people read there and it’s also a very quiet place.

Cool.
What would you say was your favorite course while on campus? and why?

Interviewee: My favorite course on campus is Mth 101 and I like it because am not always tired when studying mathematics.

Beautiful.
Is there anything that you feel has or will change about you when you resume due to the lockdown?

Interviewee: No. Nothing can change about me.

So you’d still exhibit the same personalities, right before the lockdown?

Interviewee: Yes.

I like that.
What are the activities you consider as hubbies?
