This is escalating more than we thought or even imagined .
Following the appointment of the 12th vice chancellor of the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University -Professor Simeon Bamidele, Ife indigenes took to the street to stage protests since the very minute the VC was appointed (date), claiming an Ife indigene has never emerged as the VC of the university. The protest began on Thursday, 17th of March 2022 and has still continued till today.
Inside OAU media earlier reported that ife indigenes invaded campus with charms and fetish objects .
Today makes it the 4th day the protest. Protesters are reportedly seen blocking the entrance of campus gate and currently there are no buses moving in or out of the campus . We implore the student of great ife to stay safe and avoid coming to campus if there is nothing important to do .
