Still on the 720,000naira missing from the Students’ Union account.
As it was confirmed by UBA in the 12th day of April that Dr Ibk, the impeached SU president 2016/2017 session withdrew the money from the account using internet banking and transferred it into one Bello Oyekunle Saheed’s account.
Dr Ibk was arrested based on this charges on the 13th day of April and charged to court on the 14th day of April.
He appeared before the Chief Magistrate’s Court, along Ibadan Road, Ile-Ife. The case had Magistrate A.A Ayeni as its Judge.
The case had the state as the prosecution officer and Dr Ibk as the defendant. However, Dr Ibk was admitted on bail with certain conditions, which are; two guarantors who are residents of Ile-Ife with a sum of 500,000naira each.
After his bail requirements were stated, Dr Ibk was ushered away to a police car. He is now remanded in custody at the Kosere prison till the next hearing on Tuesday, 26th April 2022.
