April, the month of April was all sorts of happenings! Different events every day, it was a hit back to back, some were fun, some were sad, some were just not it, but as Nigerians, we’re known to cope and enjoy every situation, be it good or bad.
Inside OAU Media is taking you back to April, all that happened in April, the one you missed and the one you didn’t understand. It’s a throwback to April in Nigeria and on OAU campus.

1. Blocked sim cards

All these days, FG has been threatening us but most of us believed our faulty system will never have the time to block our sim cards until they actually did it. FG actually blocked the sim cards of the future leaders and numerous others without a flinch. This came as a shocker for this battle has been dragged on for months and numerous deadlines were overlooked.

2. Osinachi’s domestic violence

It’s not even normal for anyone to harm anyone mentally but then coupled with physical maltreatment to the point of death? Somehow the singer of Ekwueme became a victim of this ill event in our society. Many had their options to share and pennies to offer but the fact remains that society always finds ways to stigmatise the victims hence the reluctance to fight back or open up.

3. Yul Edochie’s polygamy

Seems our popular, baritone-voiced Nollywood actor has been craving attention and his polygamy was the perfect icing on that cake. He lamented about how his skills, voice and other activities didn’t gain him this much uproar as his infidelity to the wife he had claimed took care of him when he had nothing. He is not a Yoruba man but let’s conclude that all men will you all shades of pepper.

It is always going to be the “n****a, I’m into hook up and what I make can pay your bills” statement that PreecyTV, the lead character made on the space unapologetically.

The long-locked Nigeria/Cotonou border was finally opened in April. 13. Kuda saga

Police officers dragging the customer

For a moment it seemed to Nigerians that “a bank of the free” was restricted to just the money you keep with Kuda and the customers might not be enjoying the freedom to express their concerns or complaints. Kuda bank got slammed by Nigerians when a viral video of a customer being maltreated by two armed police officers at the bank surfaced online. The bank seems to have cleared the air and we are still getting the usual truckload of ads.
