EndASUUstrike: Soldiers Fire Shots At Ondo Students

It’s no news that several major roads have been barricaded across the nation because of the EndASUUstrike protest. It’s the 92nd day of the strike and the end is still not in sight.

Soldiers were seen at the protest ground where students of Akure, Ondo state on Monday but then on Tuesday they allegedly opened fire at the students.

There has been a report of sporadic gunshots with the students panicking and shouting about how the country is reincarnating the EndSARS saga in 2020 on a peaceful protest.

The students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba, in Akure, had, alongside, counterparts from neighboring states, barricaded major highways, including the Benin-Ore Express road while they protested.

Recall that the soldiers had also attempted to run over protesting students around the University of Ibadan. This was condemned in a statement by the ASUU, Lagos zone.

The students of OAU are still going strong with the protest with the campus gate blocked. They started at 8am today and moved from OAU to OUI roundabout again.
