Google has announced that applications are now being accepted for the second batch of the Google for Startup Black Founders Fund for Africa. This fund is intended to support African entrepreneurs who have founded startups.

As a result of the first cohort’s success the previous year, Google has decided to boost its commitment by providing an additional million dollars in funding and support for ten new entrepreneurs throughout this year. As a consequence of this, a total of four million dollars will be committed to sixty African startup companies that were formed by people of African descent.

  • Black founders or diverse founding teams in early-stage enterprises,
  • Startups that help the black community, in particular.
  • The company is based in Africa and is active there.
  • A diverse founding team, including at least one black founding member; a legal presence on the continent and the development of technology solutions for the African market and the global market; a growth potential to raise further capital and to generate jobs
