Aserifa is not new to floods but this is one of the biggest flood cases ever.
The rain that fell yesterday at Ile Ife didn’t go without leaving a trade mark behind. The heavy rain started in the evening around 4:30pm,stopped for a while around 6:40/7pm. Then it started again around 8pm and ended in the midnight but didn’t stop without Aserifa bridge being flooded.
There has been flood cases at that environ but yesterday’s case was above the “normal”. Residents and other road users seem to be in so much discomfort as they look for how to bypass the totally blocked road.
The river is overflowing the bridge moving towards the road causing a brown hued flood with no known depth.
