Running Mate: Funke Akindele Suspends Acting Profession.

Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, has unveiled her political posts ahead of the Lagos state governorship campaign. She has officially unveiled her interest to serve as the deputy governor to the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Azeez Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor.

In the video she disseminated on her Instagram page on Tuesday, Funke Akindele declared her intention to accept the offer as a deputy governorship candidate. She has also withheld her acting profession as she is presently the running mate of the Peoples Democratic Party Lagos State governorship candidate, Olajide Adediran. She ascertained it on Tuesday. The actress declared that her acting profession must be “necessarily put on hold”.According to Funke Akindele, this was a sacrifice she had to make to “rescue” the residents of Lagos State. The actress announced, “I am not unaware of the cost of this assignment on my vibrant career, which I must now necessarily put on hold.

“It’s an enormous confidential sacrifice. I intend that no sacrifice is too big for the actualization of the crucial duty to save our people and our lovely state.”Akindele explained, “I saw it as a privilege to help recover and enhance the wellbeing of our society, especially the denied youth, women, and the girl child.

“My conclusion is not just to acknowledge this tremendous duty but to also labor tirelessly and complement Jandor’s burning desire to see our dear Lagos live up to its full potential.”

However, when she let out her name at the end of the video, the Ikorodu-born indigene of Lagos didn’t entail her husband’s name, Bello. She confirmed the news two weeks after her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, commonly known as JJC Skillz, declared that they have gone their different ways.

Even though the Ikorodu-born indigene of Lagos got a lot of support from Lagosians, as massive crowd stormed the streets to watch her been unveiled officially by the party, she seems to have gotten a mixed reaction from social media users because of her failed marriage.
