The Headies is one of the biggest music awards show in Nigeria, established in 2006 by the Hip Hop World Magazine of Nigeria to recognize outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry. The annual ceremony features performances by established and promising artists.

The 15th most Anticipated Headies Award was held yesterday, the 4th day of September at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta. The yearly Headies Award 2022 edition was definitely an event to remember. The award ceremony took place for the first time outside the shores of Nigeria in Atlanta, USA. Before the award , the biggest talking points were Buju vs Ruger in Next-rated category , Wizkid, who was the most nominated artist and many others.

Buju and Ruger have been involved in a beef clash on Social media which also sparked many reactions among their fans who joined in the bants and rants. But the event was one to remember as Buju gained the upper hand in winning arguably the most anticipated award, Headies Next-rated.
