The bride was welcomed into the royal residence late on Tuesday with a brief rite at the palace entrance before she went in to meet her husband and the well-wishers (siblings of the King, chiefs and close aides) waiting for her arrival. Not long after, Queen Mariam was joined by her family members to celebrate her union with the Ooni.

In a video released by Ooni’s spokesperson, Moses Olafare, the whole event took place in the palace with few people in attendance, and it only lasted for quite a while.

Officially, this will be the fourth marriage of the Ooni after his failed marriages with Adebukola Bombata, Zaynab-Otiti Obanor and recently, Naomi Silekunola.
