Nigerian music has been at its peak in the last year with popular Afrobeats artists like Wizkid, Davido, Olamide, Ckay, Fireboy, Omah Lay, the latest trending artiste Asake (Mr. Money), and some others leading the industry forward. Now all over the world, the Nigerian music genre; Afrobeat, is widely listened to by millions who are lovers of this genre. In the past month Nigerian wonder boy, YBNL latest signee, and OAU graduate, Ololade Asake has been topping charts and smashing records with blazing hits from his debut album, MR MONEY WITH THE VIBE. After the album’s release on the 7th of September, it went ahead to beat every other artiste to every spot on the Top 10 list. The album really deserves all the hype it’s getting you’ll agree with me.

Badboy Bella featured another bad boy, Omah lay, on this love-coated single he titled, “Philo”. Bella has been on the news lately for his new dress code which involves him wearing a skirt. It was first noticed when he wore a skirt to perform at a BBN Naija show. And ever since Bella has been very well adapting to the skirt lifestyle. Even in the music video, he performed in Skirt.

9. Bad to me

Wizkid

Wizkid came in hot with his first single of the year titled, “Bad to me”. Seems someone has really been bad to Machalla in a loving way and we will get to know more in his upcoming album. Bad to me is an introduction to Wizkid’s upcoming album titled, “More love, less ego”. Within a few days after the song was released, it topped the Apple music chart and was the first song to take the No.1 spot from Asake after his period of domination. From this song, we should expect something big from Starboy’s album coming up later this year.

8. Nzaza

Asake

Nzaza is one of the songs on Asake’s perfect album, Mr. Money with the vibe. The single from the Nigerian hitmaker didn’t waste any time to impress fans, and they loved Asake more for this. Asake really dominated every music chart in September with hits from his album and we can’t just get enough of Asake. In the song, Asake narrates how hard he works to remain on top, and how a man who doesn’t work will likely not eat. Emi o kere, Asake is really not small.

7. Dupe

Asake

Dupe by Asake is an inspirational song with many grateful words to God in its lyrics. Asake, showed us that despite his success in the music industry, he hasn’t forgotten his God, who he, however, says blessed him to receive fame. Asake’s message for you through this song is even when you have and don’t have anything give thanks to God.

From the beat to the lyrics, this song is a beauty and definitely, one music lovers would play on repeat for a long period of time. Asake really did justice to this song, no wonder it’s topping so many charts. Asake reveals himself as, “omo ologo” another addition to his many names.

Asake has really proven to the world that he’s a star and his star shines like a diamond. Mr money promises his fans he won’t be dull and that he’ll take care of his loving mom. If Asake goes on with this level of consistency in dropping hit songs, he might eventually get nominated for Grammys. We really have Olamide to thank for giving us a gem in human form, Asake is a real treasure.

Terminator wey no dey terminate, Asake really hit the music industry hard with this jam. Every club both home and abroad is on fire with this Asake’s jam titled, “Terminator”. Asake unveiled dance moves from Joha in a video where he displays Joha’s dance and so many dancers and music lovers have been imitating his amazing movies. Joha was a gift from Asake to music lovers in the month of September, the song is really a blessing.

Haters better be warned because, Ayrra’s tap is never gonna stop rushing. Ayrra’s Rush made it to No.1 on Apple Music after Mavin’s boss and superstar, Don Jazzy, shows a video of himself cross-dressed like a woman vibing to Rush. Ayrra’s consistency is really top-notch, she is the first lady to top Apple music’s chart this year. We really love Ayrra’s music and we can’t get enough of it.

“Organize, every other day I organize….”, this line alone has the capability of setting the dance floor on fire. Asake really organized every music chart with his songs. Organize just manages to switch on every dull moment, Asake really did a good work on this jam. Asake has really proven to be Olamide’s successor with his consistency in dropping street jams. The world is really under his feet at the moment and there’s no stopping me.
