Oh, how the mighty has fallen is the case of the once great Ronaldo. Ronaldo who has been tipped by many football legends to be the greatest player of all time is currently facing the most difficult period of his career. We can compare this stage to Mu-Deok of Alchemy of souls. Naksu the once great and strong assassin who was very lethal became shifted souls with Mu-Deok who was weak and powerless. Ronaldo has now gone from being Naksu to Mu-Deok.
Here are the reasons why we feel Ronaldo has gone from Naksu to Mu Deok.
1. Lack of games
The once great CR7, was surely a top player for every game. Ronaldo was a consistent first team players who hardly missed matches except he had an injury. But now, Ronaldo is missing in key games this season has he has been relegated to the bench in Manchester United by Erik Ten Hag.
2. Poor goalscoring ability
Ronaldo has broken so many goals and is one of the highest goal scorers of all time, no doubts. Even last season the Portuguese forward scored 18 league goals for Man U and performed really well to gain a lot praises from plans. But this season, Ronaldo has scored no league goal with his only goal coming against Real Sociedad in the Europa league.
3. Cheetah to Tortoise
At a younger age CR7 was one of the world’s fastest players and whenever he was on the run with the ball, he was unstoppable. Fast track to this season, Ronaldo has lost so much space and is quite unable to lead a counter attack.
4. Less praises
Ronaldo no longer receives the accolades he once received from football pundits, fans and analysts alike. This is due to his decline in recent years and without results, no praise.
5. Poor dribbling ability
5-10 years ago, Ronaldo could beat two to three players on the run. Ronaldo humiliated alot of players and was feared by defenders. This season, we have a toothless Ronaldo who now struggles to dribble past players.
6. Poor shot conversion
Christiano Ronaldo has attempted alot of shots on goal this season but has been unable to convert any of them to goals. Some of his attempts have hit the woodwork and denied by the goal keeper. The stats are really poor and shows how ineffective Ronaldo is Infront of goal especially, as a Top 9.
7. Rejected by top-tier teams
Despite tireless efforts from his agent, Jorge Mendes, to get him a big club in one of the top flight leagues all proved abortive. If Ronaldo was still at the peak of the game alot of teams will go to war just to get his signature, but reverse is the case. Just like Naksu who was being hunted by Songrim and Daeho, when she became Mu-Deok, no one really cared about looking for her.
8. UCL to UEL
Manchester united used to be one of the top teams in England and Europe at large one point in time. But in recent years, the standards of Manchester United has really dropped, they’ve been unable to win trophies and consistently qualify for the Champions League. Ronaldo has been really unfortunate to be a part of this weakened Man U side and for the first time in his career he’s playing in the Europa league.
9. Ego
Just like Naksu, she was really proud of her strength and prowess but when she became Mu-Deok she lost her powers and prowess. This is exactly the case of Ronaldo, he has so much ego, he tried to force his way out from Man U but they were unwilling to let him go. After missing a couple of training sessions, he was unable find a way out. These recent happenings have made the great Ronaldo humble.
10. Age
Age has really caught up with Ronaldo and that is the reason for his decline. At a younger age, he was good, fast, scored alot of goals and featured in so many matches. But currently, he’s 37 and can no longer deliver at his peak. At this point, it’ll be safe for him to hang his boots.
