But what drives someone to go to such extreme lengths for another person? What motivates them to take a leap of faith and follow their heart, even when the odds are stacked against them? In this blog post, we explore the stories of 10 Nigerians who have gone above and beyond in their quest for love. From grand romantic gestures to selfless acts of kindness, these individuals share with us the craziest things they have ever done in the name of love.

“My secondary school boyfriend and his friends came to my house when my parents were not home, I literally cooked for these guys😂😂😂 They left oo, naso my sister reported me to my parents, she even pointed where they sat to my parents😂😂😂 , I been wan faint . My parents took me to school for punishment, My boyfriend denied me instantly and said they didn’t come to my house. I chop beating for assembly for going wayward and for lying against the guys that came to my house.”

I had to borrow from someone with the hope that he will return it and even add interest as per say na my bf an . Baba reach Lagos forget me, had another person in Lagos , Na me pay the money back.”

“My parent traveled for a burial, naso i invite my boyfriend to come and spend the night, Baba even brought BDSM kits. it started all nice and cool until I heard my aunty’s voice apparently my mum already asked my aunty to come and stay with me . My aunt caught us in the act , i started to cry that it was the devil, Na the BDSM kit my aunty use beat both of us like a thief . I thought I was going to die that day , she chained my hands and legs and beat the hell out of me, till today i have PTSD for BDSM . ”

“I dated a guy in my department, a senior sha, I thought we were both in love actually, it was going well or maybe I thought it was, so something happened, my period got delayed one day that I thought I was pregnant, I was so scared, I told him what happened so he left campus at night, he came to my place with a pregnancy test tube, but because I was scared, I didn’t use it, he begged and persuaded me but I didn’t answer, so probably he got tired, he said to me that night that he was never going to talk to me again once he step his foot outside my house, I thought it was a joke o, na so baba left and we stopped talking
After about some months sha, we both found ourselves in another relationship, but he has broken up with his girlfriend but I’m still with my own and we’ve celebrated 3 years together 😃😊”

“is this crazy but I once faked being sick to travel two days on the road from Sokoto to Lagos to see my guy , just for both of us to fall sick and be admitted to the hospital 😂😂 and it was even during the lockdown period sef 🤣🤣🤣”

“till today, I still want to believe she jazzed me, I gave my girlfriend my school fees to buy a wig because she was going to a party and all her friends were wearing bone straight to the party, what if it tell you that na for that party she got another boyfriend, mama broke up with me few weeks later. I almost dropped out if not for God and my school pastor. ”

“I rented an off-campus apartment for my girlfriend because she constantly complained about the dirty conditions and infections at Moz hostel. Even though I work in Lagos and only visit occasionally since I graduated from OAU, I decided to surprise her for her birthday. To my surprise, I caught her with another guy in the apartment. Long story short, her neighbor revealed that the guy had been living with her for over 5 months .”
