Excitement builds as MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL In OAU returns for its 2023/2024 Edition!
The highly anticipated second edition of the Most Beautiful Girl in OAU (MBG) beauty pageant proudly sponsored by The Forerunners Creativity and Innovation (FCI), a distinguished organization committed to nurturing creativity and innovation is set to captivate hearts once again, we could recall that the first edition was won by Bukola Akinjeji , a 19-year-old student of the Department of Agricultural Extension, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife . Guess what ? The second Edition is here and MBG OAU, in conjunction with Babafaros Entertainment and Great Ife Students’ Union is presenting this golden opportunity to be crwon the most beautiful girl in OAU .
About MBG OAU
The MBG OAU beauty pageant, renowned for its grand showcase of beauty, talent, and intellect, garnered significant attention after its inaugural edition. Following this success, the organizers are thrilled to unveil the 2nd edition: THE TRAILBLAZER EDITION. Mojo from Trybe City attended the press conference organized by MGB OAU on Thursday, November 16th at the Student Union Building TV Room and here is what we curated just for you !
Promoting Feminism and Personal Growth:
MBG OAU stands as a powerful platform dedicated to championing feminist values, celebrating the strength and resilience of women, and fostering personal and collective growth. FCI, through this event, seeks to empower women, advocate for their rights, and encourage holistic development.
Leadership
The driving force behind MBG OAU includes Ayomitide Ilori, the esteemed Queen Mother for MBG, along with Adeleye Oluwadamilare , Ogundipe Damilola and Damola Adeyeye, contributing as the founding members of Forerunners Creativity and Innovation,
Theme: The BOLDNESS, the INTELECTUAL, and the BEAUTY:
The 2nd edition centers around the theme of boldness, intellect, and beauty – qualities that aspiring young ladies should embody to qualify for MBG OAU. The pageant is all-inclusive, welcoming contestants within Obafemi Awolowo University from diverse backgrounds, each with a unique story to tell.
Affordable Entry Fee and Audition Dates
In consideration of the nation’s economic climate, the entry fee for contestants is a subsidized thousand naira (#1000). The entry period spans from November 16, 2023, to November 30, marking the commencement of auditions.
Exciting Prizes to be won by the winners of 2024 Most Beautiful Girl in OAU:
Contestants have the chance to win various prizes,
Winner :
- N300,000 cash prize,
- A plot of land
- Ambassadorial deals and a mystery box.
First runner up
- N200,000 cash prize
- 1/2 plot of land
- Ambassadorial deals and a mystery box.
Second runner up:
- N100,000
- Ambassadorial deals and a mystery box.
There are seven winners in total and the prizes would be distributed in various categories.
Partenership with Brands
MBG OAU invite brands interested in sponsoring the MGB OAU event. During the marketing phase, each contestant will represent a sponsoring brand, creating social media content to promote it. The organizers will reward the contestants with the highest engagement with a special gift .
Stages to the Grand Finale:
Contestants will navigate four stages to reach the grand finale:
- Online Voting Stage
- Viewer’s Choice Stage
- Marketing Stage (in partnership with sponsoring brands)
- Preliminary Stage

Exciting events leading up to the grand finale include a trade fair, gala night, and more, providing opportunities for contestants to shine.
Queen Mother’s Perspective:
According to Ayomitide, the Queen Mother, the event serves as a platform for contestants to showcase their unique qualities, passion, and contributions to society. She emphasizes that beauty is not confined to a specific standard but reflects individuality and the ability to make a positive impact.
Eligibility and Disclaimer:
The form is eligible for only part one to part three or four (For 5 years courses) students of Obafemi Awolowo University, with finalists not eligible to contest in the pageant.
