Tempted to type ninu gbogbo rogbodiyan yi but I shouldn’t.

Recall that OAU’s protest began with a media confrontation with members of the Students’ Union visiting several media houses. The same week a physical protest was held and major roads were blocked which brought discomfort to the public but later on drew both their attention and support.

Here are the full reports:

Days after numerous road blocks, there has been recent rumors about OAU Students’ Union President, Reform, allegedly taking a bribe from the Ooni of Ife to buy the Governor of the state, Adegboyega Oyetola, a free pass on the one good day a protest could have actually done us good.

Afterwards, a meeting was held on Twitter space where Legbeti, SU’s Financial Secretary, and Aworanti Grace Salvation, the Vice President, denied collecting money personally. Reform wasn’t present on the space and he never showed up. The masses have been looking for him there on with hashtags like #WhereisReform.
Later on he was reported to be in the SUB building as at the time of the search.

A source also told us about the plans of Ife people (bikemen) who plan on beating and sabotaging any form of protest when they overheard the news about the students not coming out for the protest when they were supposed to block the governor and his aides coming for campaign. They lamented about the supports the students received even though it brought them huge discomfort.

Then on Saturday, the 21st day of May 2022, Great Ife Students’ Union President Olayiwola Folahan popularly known as Reform slumped and was rushed to the hospital on emergency with the cause of his illness unknown.

A chat with the VP

With the news about the alleged bribe, the students have lost their morale and no protest has been held ever since.

While we wait for the truth to be revealed, ASUU strike continues and the EndASUUstrike protest held by OAU students has been paused.
